In the second quarter of 2023, the travel and local app market in Tunisia saw varying performance across the top 5 apps, as per data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads and active users for each app.

Airbnb showed a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting from 954 at the end of March and peaking at 11.9K by the last week of May. However, the downloads saw a decline toward the end of June, dropping to approximately 1.8K. The app’s weekly active users also experienced growth, rising from 10.5K at the end of March to a peak of 23.8K in late May before stabilizing around 13.3K by the end of June.

Google Earth maintained a relatively stable download trend, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 2K and 4.6K. The highest downloads were recorded in late April. Active users for the app showed a slight decline, starting from 31.7K at the end of March and ending at 30.9K by the end of June.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads rose from 844 at the end of March to a high of 3.2K by the end of June. The app's active user base grew from 35.2K to 45.5K over the same period, indicating strong user engagement.

GPS Navigation: Live Earth Map had a mixed performance. Downloads peaked at around 2.7K in late April but saw a decline to roughly 1.3K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 971 at the end of March, peaking at 1.8K in late April, and then decreasing to 1K by the end of June.

Saudi Visa Bio saw an initial surge in downloads, reaching a high of 6.8K in early May, but then experienced a sharp decline, ending with just 14 downloads in the last week of June. Active users reflected this trend, peaking at 5.7K in early May before falling to 415 by the end of June.
